This morning, it was announced that Bob Dylan is the winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize for literature. Said the Swedish Academy, upon awarding the prize, “Dylan has the status of an icon. His influence on contemporary music is profound”. One member of the Academy went on to call Dylan the ‘greatest living poet’.
