Toronto Police will be pulling drivers over in a new vehicle this week…and, that’s in a hearse.

The police hope to target texting drivers with the relaunch of their ‘That Text Or Call Could End It All’ campaign.

The hearses are on loan from Funeral Service MacKinnon and Bowes, and will be used a bit of a shock approach to pulling over drivers.

Though it’s obvious and popular knowledge that texting and driving is completely against the law people are still taking the chance by checking their social media feeds or latest text message. Since 2011, 109,000 distracted driving tickets have been handed out.

With the tickets ranging from $500 to $1000, most motorists are choosing to keep their phones out of their hands.. but there are always the not so wise ones, and the consequences can be fatal.

Think this will get the point across?
