This afternoon, we here in Canada will experience a partial eclipse of the Sun (60-70% coverage) where most of Central US will get a total eclipse. While we are still able to experience it in most of it’s glory, we still can’t spend a portion of our afternoon staring up at the Sun. Unless you’ve got some solar eclipse shades or a pin-hole box handy, you are probably out of luck to see it happen…

So where can we watch?

NASA has a section on their website that allows for you to watch multiple broadcasts of the eclipse in progress. Check out their live streams throughout the day and watch as the Sun, Earth, and Moon come into alignment.

Don’t worry folks, this isn’t a Black Hole Sun scenario and we won’t get sucked up into it… though, weird face melting and exaggerated smiles may occur if you stare directly into the Sun.
