Filed 1963-London, England: Head and shoulders of Beatles’ bassist Paul McCartney. He is wearing a tweed jacket and a tie.

Paul McCartney’s photographs from 1963 to 64, will be on exhibit at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia, beginning December 5. The exhibit will stay open through April of next year.

Eyes of the Storm, is a collection of more than 250 photographs captured by McCartney using his own Pentax camera. The photos were taken between November 1963 and February 1964, illuminating the period in which The Beatles became international superstars.

McCartney commented, “Looking at these photos now, decades after they were taken, I find there’s a sort of innocence about them. Everything was new to us at this point.”

The photographs were rediscovered in McCartney’s personal archive in 2020 and document the band on their travels leading up to their first triumphant trip to America.
