Mark Charette is a former teacher and tech marketer & manager who is now the Communications and Marketing Manager for Food for Thought.

We make sure everyone has a meal.

Food for Thought works on reducing food insecurity in Ottawa, by providing meals for those who have no kitchen or cannot cook for one reason or another.

Food for Thought provides approximately one thousand meals per day to people living in Ottawa who cannot cook for themselves. They are a registered charity and you can learn more about what they do by Clicking Here.

“In addition to us recently achieving charitable status, we’ve already beaten our annual meal-production goal! Our vision for this year was to serve 1000 hot, nutritious, scratch-made meals everyday, and we just passed 365,000 meals served this year!” (as of December 9th), says Mark.

Operating out of their kitchen at 12-855 Industrial Avenue, meals are prepared daily by their top chefs, using Halal ingredients. They have a rotating menu available to everyone who wishes to buy a meal and support their mission. Meals are ten dollars and proceeds from the sales go towards feeding our neighbours.
